Hear from Developh community member Yosef Cuenca on their experience at the 2020 UXPH Conference.

I had always been annoyed at the Windows operating system’s clunky mix-match of modern and decades old UI. Thus, I spent many hours customizing the desktop and theme to make it less cluttered, more minimalist, and suited to my aesthetic. Little did I know that the customizations that I was doing were me identifying my needs as a “user”, maximizing the tools at my disposal, and designing a highly personal Windows User Experience.

Time-consuming it may have been, searching endlessly for theme packs, icons, and…

We have big things brewing with an incoming ten-week Fellowship for student founders building impactful initiatives driven by local need. We’re currently looking for more Partners to join the operating team to help us run the fellowship and scout student founders over the next months.

  • Managing Partners: Overseeing the entire Fellowship + Fund.
  • Operating Partners: Run the Fellowship through its programming, talks, knowledgebase, partnerships, etc., coordinating with Technical Partners, Scouts, and running select weeks of the program + its culminating Demo Day.
  • Technical Partners (Engineering, Design, Product, Marketing): Focused on providing support to founders who are building; hold OH, workshops…

We’re publishing our Roadmap for the upcoming months for the first time. This is the first time not because we’ve had one and just decided to keep it hush-hush, but because we actually have a roadmap now.

To close friends and past-and-upcoming core, you know that Developh moves with extreme spontaneity. We put together Iboto to reach millions of Filipinos for the 2019 midterm elections in less than three weeks. We mobilized over a week to help over two thousand Filipinos affected by massive typhoons. We build tools and launch websites in a day…

Hear from Developh community member Jack Lorenz Rivera, Ateneo freshman scholar and first-prize Palanca awardee, on his experience at the 2020 UXPH Conference.

UX/UI make the impossible, possible; the possible, understandable; the understandable, accessible.

Times they are a changing, and those changes are due to UX/UI. One ought to remember that one cannot change something one does not understand; and one cannot understand something one does not know. This is why conferences like UXPH CONF 2020: Designers as Navigators of Change are vital to the growth of an individual.

The conference welcomes all from psychologist majors to traditional writers; whatever…

Hear from Developh community member Nicole Datlangin, a psychology student and designer exploring student life, creativity, and activism through her learnings from 2020’s UXPH Conference.

1. “Our skill is not just to create change; it is to enable change.” — Daisuke (“Dice”) Yukita, IDEO

  • We already know that design can create change, whether it’s through delivering compelling content, prototypes that generate momentum, and solutions that take into account the voices of users. But how can we take this a step further? In our work, we must aim to unlock the creative potential of the people we work with, regardless of what industry or market they have roots in.
  • Communication is equally as important as design work itself in achieving…

In an age of unprecedented technology, the youth are creating more than ever. But we’re not hearing enough about it. It’s time to change that.

At Developh, we’re creating platforms for amplifying student voices: online talks & workshops, Notion resources, and so much more. Now, we have Creator Spotlights: an interview series featuring young Filipino creatives, technologists, makers, and doers.

By sharing their stories, we hope to encourage more people to start creating; it may all seem intimidating (especially when it comes to technology), but if others can do it, you can too. For this, here’s a special piece from…

When we released a call for art market participants weeks ago, we didn’t expect to get an overwhelming response (~50 applicants!). Now, we are proud to present our participants: 26 solo artists and rising collectives of all crafts, mediums, and styles coming in from all over the Philippines. Check them out!
